Overall impression unfortunately not very good: the kitchen closes at the best dinner time, the service is super stressed, sometimes literally running through the house. A cat is sitting at the table in the middle of the dining room. The food was nothing more than mediocre, mostly just warmed up, but unfortunately not even really hot. Overall, not an atmosphere in which you want to eat more than one functional meal.

Have been here several times and have always been very satisfied. Food is very tasty, large portions. Service also impeccable. 1 star suit because today only 1 dish without meat on the menu.

The restaurant in karches has developed over the years almost to the top gastronomy, much is no longer missing, the wait staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the dishes are served in a demanding manner, there is also something done for the eye, the beer is well maintained and is well tapped here too if something is done to improve the appearance, it is advisable to reserve a table

I am amazed how terrible this resistant is ! The leading manager is unfriendly and they don’t want to make any effort to enable you to charge your battery for ebike ! The food is just ok! Everything else - 🤮😡

Good place, the venison was a bit firm and not hot, the fried potatoes ok ... Many insects annoy the guests there. It's beautiful at the lake. I can't say why the restaurant closes at 8:00 p.m. Somehow not enough staff. Good sanitary facilities. In the evening, even in August, definitely bring a jacket.

Very friendly service, despite the full beer garden and a lot of work. Food was also delicious. Great location on the main road from which you hardly notice anything and yet in the forest and at the pond.

Very nice restaurant on the lake, ideal starting point for hikes. Had game dishes, very tasty. Service friendly and quick.

The parking lot directly at the B303 is a great starting point for hikes in all possible directions of the Fichtelgebirge. Afterwards we had dinner here, it tasted good and the waiting time for the meal was short. We would hike from there at any time and return to the Waldrasthaus for refreshment.

Lovely place to stop off after the hike. Great portions at good prices. Nice play opportunities for the kids. Had 5 stars if the service on the second visit would have been friendlier. Service on the first visit was great!
